Please accept these public comments from 22,967 online members and activists on behalf on the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) regarding BOEM-2017-0063 opposing the Trump administration's efforts to allow offshore drilling in the Arctic's Beaufort Sea. The Beaufort Sea is essential for millions of animals and an oil spill in this wildlife haven would put many of these animals in peril in addition to blanketing the surrounding area with toxic crude that is difficult to clean. For these reasons we urge you to reverse course and permanently protect the Arctic's Beaufort Sea from offshore drilling. Thank you.

Abstract

The purpose of the Call for Information and Nominations is to solicit industry nominations and gather information on the area from all interested parties for consideration in planning future OCS oil and gas lease sales.
