Dear EPA officials: Please kindly accept the attached 105,371 public comments from online members and activists of the Natural Resources Defense Council, in opposition to the EPA's proposed "Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science" supplemental rule (EPA-HQ-OA-2018-0259). Environmental and public health standards created and enforced by the EPA should be based on all the best available science, data, and models. This proposed rule, if enacted, would severely limit the scientific research that the EPA must consider when setting environmental and public health standards that impact all of us undermining the agency's ability to protect our air, water, and public health. We urge you to change course and drop this unjustified anti-science rule-making immediately.

Please accept these public comments from 101,464 online members and activists on behalf of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) regarding EPA-HQ-OA-2018-0259-0001 opposing EPA's proposal to grant the EPA chief the power to censor crucial scientific research. The EPA has a responsibility to objectively analyze all available research while devising rules and regulations. To give the EPA chief the power to censor crucial research that informs environmental safeguards under the guise of "transparency" is dangerous. Considering this, we urge you to reject the proposal. Thank you.
