Strong clean car standards are one of the most crucial things we can do to fight climate change as transportation is the single-largest source of carbon pollution. Keeping strong clean car standards in place would reduce carbon pollution, improve public health and save drivers money at the pump. Abstract

EPA established national GHG emissions standards under the Clean Air Act that extend through 2025. In this rulemaking, EPA will propose adjustments to those standards, following conclusion of the Mid-Term Evaluation (MTE) process and EPA’s Final Determination that it is appropriate to adjust the MY2022-2025 GHG emission standards.
