EPA is designating 1-butanol, 3-methoxy-1-acetate (CASRN 4435-53-4), common name 3- methoxybutyl acetate, as a low-priority substance. As required under section 6(b) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) implementing regulations, EPA is designating 20 chemical substances as low-priority substances for which risk evaluation is not warranted at this time. The document in this docket provides a summary of the approach, analysis, and basis for the final designation of 1-butanol, 3-methoxy-, 1-acetate as a low-priority substance.
