Since submitting Comment ID FWS-HQ-ES-2021-0106-26985 (tracking number kz3-91xj-lqeb) on behalf of the Natural Resources Defense Council on January 31, 2022, we write to submit an update to our comment on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's positive 90-day petition finding and notice of initiation of status review for the gray wolf (Canis lupus) in the Northern Rocky Mountains and/or Western United States. On February 1st, 2022, we received a response to our Public Records Request to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks for detailed wolf mortality data from the state of Montana from 2015 through the present date (referenced on page 15 of our comment letter). That response is attached here as an update to our comment letter to aid the Service in considering the most accurate and up-to-date information about threats to the gray wolf in the Northern Rocky Mountains or Western U.S. Thank you for considering our comment and update.
