Abstract
Virginia Electric and Power Company, doing business as Dominion Virginia Power (Dominion), has applied for an incidental take permit pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (ESA). The permit application is for the incidental take of Atlantic sturgeon belonging to the Chesapeake Bay Distinct Population Segment that is listed as endangered. Incidental take is anticipated to occur because of the otherwise lawful operation and maintenance of Dominion’s Chesterfield Power Station. NMFS is publishing this notice to allow other agencies and the public an opportunity to review and comment on the application and Conservation Plan. NMFS has also prepared a draft Supplemental Information Report that is available for public inspection online (see ADDRESSES).
